July 22nd 2017 – Highway Pick-up

2017/07/14, LAPEER, MI:  Come volunteer with other Republicans to do a good deed for our community and help keep Lapeer County beautiful!

Our next Republican Highway Cleanup is scheduled for July 22 at 9:00 AM.  We will meet at the Republican Office, 338 W. Nepessing (Parking Lot side of Nepessing next to Detroit Burger Bar) for coffee and doughnuts prior to the walk.  We always need the healthy sustenance to keep us going.  It generally takes a couple of hours which is great exercise and we find lots of exciting artifacts!

Thanks for taking the time to make a difference.

2017 Picnic & Membership Drive

2017/06/15, LAPEER: Our annual Republican Summer Picnic was a huge success! We had close to 75 people in attendance. Thanks to all who attended in spite of a little bit of rain. Being tough Republican’s we didn’t let a rain shower spoil our fun and a good time was had by all!

Many thanks go out to the Summer Picnic Committee for all their hard work; Walt Bargen, Gerry Edwards, Cheryl Howell, Dianna Ireland, Gayle McCormick, Christina Russell, Theresa Spencer, and Carol Whittington.

The hot dogs were donated Steve Francis owner of the Country Smokehouse. They were AWESOME – Thank you Steve for your generous donation! Thank you to John and AJ Howell for being the official “Hot Dog Cooker’s”!

If you were not able to attend you missed our fundraiser auction with Randy St. Laurent as our official auctioneer. There were several donated auction items including an official United States flag that was flown over the Michigan Capitol Building, donated by our State Representative Gary Howell. Thanks also go out to Congressman Paul Mitchell, Linda Jarvis, Dyle Henning, Dianna Ireland, Theresa Spencer, Lori Gebhardt and Cheryl Howell for their efforts in obtaining the many items auctioned off. The auction netted $380!

And finally, thank you to all who helped with the cleanup, it was much appreciated!
